Kokomo24/7 and DistrictZero Look to Present at SXSW EDU

Kokomo24/7 recently teamed up with social-emotional learning company, DistrictZero, to apply to be presenters at the 2023 SXSW EDU conference in March. Both companies share a mission to help make schools a safer place and are excited about the opportunity to share how our individual approaches are helping to improve the lives of students with the audience members attending the SXSW EDU event.

Kokomo24/7 has been a leader in health and safety software since 2018. We exist to help create safer schools, workplaces, and communities by helping them prevent, respond to, and recover from both the predictable and the unpredictable. For the education sector, including K-12 and higher education, our solutions are used to:

  1. Record and monitor any incidents that occur such as fights, bullying, or worse
  2. Record and monitor any school's regular maintenance tasks
  3. Conduct daily or periodic mental health check surveys
  4. Screen any incoming guests
  5. Notify school administrators, parents, or police/fire of any incidents
  6. Provide a way for students to report issues anonymously
  7. Report crucial emergencies using a panic button
  8. Manage any emergency through a robust, centralized dashboard
  9. Track vaccine or testing requirements

DistrictZero is on a mission to help students improve their social-emotional learning skills by helping students work through their personal blockers. They do this by enabling quick, easy-to-use check-ins to capture how students are feeling. They then use that information to deliver relevant content and solutions to help students self-regulate and work through their blockers—all on their own. With a student-centric approach to wellness management and academic outcomes, classrooms improve emotional climate by over 300% in the first 15-days of use.

Joining forces, Kokomo and DistrictZero are on a mission to educate attendees at next year’s SXSW conference on the various ways each company can help make students’ lives better. Kokomo does this by helping schools better prevent, respond to and recover from the predictable and the unpredictable. DistrictZero does this by understanding students’ current mental health state and providing the right content and programs to enable the students to work through their own personal blockers.
