2024 ASU+GSV Summit Recap

The Kokomo24/7® team is back in Chicago after a successful ASU+GSV Summit in San Diego, California! From learning and networking with industry experts to curating our own unique events, ASU+GSV did not disappoint.

Kokomo curated a number of events focused on school safety during which Kokomo shared lessons learned from helping schools small to large, including Los Angeles Unified School District.

Kokomo built a first-of-its-kind School Safety Showroom which demonstrated the benefits to using a holistic platform to enhance school safety.

Kokomo's CEO and founder Daniel J. Lee spoke on an panel consisting of esteemed voices in the school safety space including Lori Alhadeff of Make Our Schools Safe, Nicole Hockley of Sandy Hook Promise, Christina Kishimoto of Voice4Equity, and Nick Suplina of Everytown for Gun Safety. At the panel, titled Safe Learning, Safe Futures: Addressing Gun Safety in Education, Lee talked about the importance of giving schools the tools they need to respond to the unique threats they face.

We curated four School Safety Innovation Sessions focusing on hot topics in school safety including the use of AI in schools, how schools are addressing chronic absenteeism through school-based healthcare, and physical security in schools.

On Tuesday night, after a long two days of networking and learning, attendees and school leaders alike were able to unwind at the School Safety Happy Hour at Puesto with some authentic Mexican food and spirits!
